Eating disorders are characterized by a persistent disturbance of eating or eating-related behavior. They result in altered consumption or absorption of food. Eating disorders significantly impair physical health or psychosocial functioning.
Eating disorder list
- Pica
- Rumination disorder - regurgitation of swallowed food back into the mouth
- Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder - fears of foods, like to avoid certain sensations, not just preferences of foods
- Anorexia nervosa
- Bulimia nervosa
- Binge eating disorder
All but pica are mutually exclusive diagnoses.
